Just done a full “Auto-scan" for the first time in 18 months.
Not getting any module code-errors but Module 45 itself seems “un-contactable” and causes the VCDS physical-interface to bomb-out.
This is apparently "Address 45: Inter. Monitor module”, so nothing too important.
But it stops the scan completing and needs a "ignition-off-disconnect-reconnect-ignition-on “, before the VCDS will be recognised again.
(ie a bit of a crappy way of dealing with a problematic module)
Any ideas? Where is module 45 located in the car?
I’ve installed (as prompted), the latest VCDS software and firmware.
Cheers
Tim

Re: VCDS & module error ?
My one did this as well.
I just removed module 45 from the scan list and saved it as a new config file.
I removed all the other modules on the list not fitted to my car at the same time to speed the process up a bit.

Mine started doing this after the update to VCDS version 12 (was fine until then) - looks like a bug in VCDS v12 to me.

Re: VCDS & module error ?
Thanks guys, that makes sense then. I’ll delete that module.
Cheers
Edit: That sorted it (but had to delete 45 & 46 as both caused a crash).
