Echo your thoughts about driving in the damp and wet in this thing, my mate in his Megane Sport thing was quite tough to get away from in the dry, not in the wet though, easy
where do you stay when you go? have you eaten at the Pistenklause too in Nurburg?
What a small world! I have been twice in the last 6 weeks now too!
I normally stay at Burgstube in Nurburg-
http://www.burgstube.com/. Martin (manager) is an ex-pat and amazingly knowledgeable of everything local, especially the 'ring obviously.
I was in Pistenklouse just Saturday! Awesome steak obviously!
I was just saying on another forum, it's such easy work getting there and driving in the Audi. Before I had a (400bhp) Peugeot 106, and it was horrible. The drive over there, the stress of reliability issues, etc etc. The Audi just gets you there at high speed, in comfort, does it's job, and gets you home again. Love it!
thanks all for the positive comments about how the car looks etc. The mileage is going up but it still looks an awesome car - even at 7 years old now!
I know exactly what you mean, eats up the miles on the way over from Calais in comfort, i also had a nice 180 on the Autobahn last time too which was fun and really cleared out the engine
we stayed at the Ferienpark last time which is awesome, we had a 3 bedroom house with amazing views and it worked out at £53 each for 2 nights! top Steak at the Pistenklause eh, I scrawled AUDI246 on the wall when i was there so keep an eye out for it if you go again haha!
