Just out of curiosity where did you get the "red hot pants" car cover from and how much?

Great thread!!!

Sometimes i wish i got an avant now instead of the saloon, more to the fact i now have two dogs haha.

Looking forward to hearing more about it,

Yes - I have 4 dogs (three german shepherds) so an estate is a must. The next car will be an RS6 with more space :)

the cover is from Germany:

Hey, we'll have less of the peugeot bashing!! :p
Ive also got that peugeot banner in my garage!! And mine contains a little pug aswell! :D
Only taking the *** a bit guys  I actually have a real soft spot for the 205 GTi - made the mistake of buying an awful XR3i many years ago when I had the opportunity to get a Pug instead :knob:

Quite fancy getting an unmolested example once I've sold a couple of cars cluttering up the garage - an unfinished Mk 2 Zodiac (302ci V8 :) ) and my Mk 2 Escort V8 which is stripped out, caged, harnesses, buckets etc and bloody uncomfortable to spend more than an hour or so in. Getting too old and need something more comfortable but still fun to drive. A nice GTi would fit the bill

The Escort isn't ornage is it, and if so where you out in it today? From memory I think you are Yorkshire based too, hence asking as I saw a fairly purposeful looking one today.

Wouldn't have been me marc as it's not on the road at the moment. But it is orange/red (Radiant Red) and yes, I'm in Yorkshire

I forgot to say the other week. I've changed the Raspberry Pi for an Apple TV.

I've also added an "Ee Buzzard" - car wifi / 4g hotspot. My phone connects to that, as does the apple TV. Then I have internet on the TV, and can airplay from phone/ipad etc to the apple TV and in turn watch on the head unit. I should have done this the first time round - it's a great setup. Rather than faf about with movies on the Pi's usb drives I can just add them to my iphone/ipad via itunes and airplay to the TV now. Lovely. Required the install of a dc/ac power inverter in the boot and the wiring for that - so seats out, carpet etc. Was a big job, but nice to do properly.

I've also retrofitted a centre armrest. This again wasn't a nice job (scary cutting into the centre console) but I got there. I've buggered it a LITTLE as I made the hole perhaps 1mm too big on the drivers side meaning you can see the cut when sitting in the back. The only way round this will be to replace the centre console but I can't be arsed with that just yet for the sake of that 1mm - I'll do it eventually - perhaps next time the seats are out. Anyway - the armrest was from a regular A4 so I've ordered a new lid in leather from Audi (ouch) - £110 for an armrest lid... :audibash:

Oil cooler pipes look to have failed unfortunately - there's a fair bit of oil in the undertray when I had that off this weekend - I can't pin down exactly where it's coming from as it's blown about a bit under there so I've cleaned it all up with brake cleaner and will run the engine up and see if I can see where it's from. If it is the oil cooler pipes, it'll be back up to MRC for them as they say they can save the cooler when removing the pipes 99/100 so it's a no brainer.

It is the pipes :(

Off to MRC Monday for a holiday - will return with fresh pipework and launch control and flat shift map tweak. At least that's something to look forward to!

It's not the pipes - yay.

In other news... Flat shift + full decats = flames. Yum.

You'd probably get some small flames with a cat but it'd be unusual. The flames are unburnt fuel, then ignited, making it all the way to the tailpipe. With cats, pratically no unburnt fuel makes it down the exhaust.

Wow, those flames are brilliant! :FIREdevil:
I need to get that done to mine in the new year.
Would it be just a map tweak if you already have stage 2 and milltek?

I don't know mate I've not got the car back yet (it's been with MRC for a couple of weeks for various reasons - not least of which is I've not had chance to go get it back!).
