Thanks Rick. Means a lot from you with your awesome soundtrack!

I don't know - don't know if Doug actually even did a power run to be honest. I shouldn't expect it to (might be down on last time due to 2k miles since last dyno, or up because it's colder. Who knows!

Well, a few treats for the car for xmas :)

First up was a set of nice new floor mats:

Then of course, there's the wheel retrim:

Then I modified my Apple TV to work from USB (before, I had a power inverter in the boot which was pretty crap). Now it comes on with USB
I've added a smaller inverter in the glovebox for if the wife wants to run her laptop (or I need VCDS on the move etc). I've also added several USB sockets in the glovebox for things like my MIFI hotspot etc.

Apple TV apart:

Installed underside of glovebox:

I've also swapped out my video connector for the Kufatec IMA+ model so I can run the Apple TV and also the reverse camera. I have a rear view "dashcam" already so I'll be using the video output from that to connect to the IMA+. I already have the IMA+ installed with the Apple TV input, I'm just waiting on a cable I forgot from Kufatec for the other camera into the IMA+.

I've also upgraded to a 2010+ RNSE media edition (with 2015 maps) - much better screen and I'm sure the higher capacity card slots will come in handy.

I have managed to keep the VIM hardware and confirm that it works with the 2010+ RNSE which is a good result too.
There's a lot of wiring up behind the glovebox and behind the RNSE now so it's a tight squeeze but I hope this is the last time I have to pull this out!

Due to a (positive) change in personal circumstances, I'm selling up (don't fear, I'm staying in the RS fold).

Sorry to hear you're selling up buddy. Hope the C6 ticks the right boxes for you. Remember it's not going to handle like the RS4 though. Not fancy any of the supercharged RS4's for sale? I think there could be a deal on the higher mileage one and the owner has applied a similar 'no expense spared' method to his ownership as your good self with this beast!

Thanks marc. I Always wanted a c6 I just couldn't afford one. I said in the for sale thread as much as I love how the rs4 handles (and it's incredible on track days) I would be compromising 350 days of the year for the 10 days Id be doing track stuff. I'd rather have a motorway muncher with 700+ HP now really I'm afraid!

I am tempted a little by the tts car up for sale but for the money he's asking you can get a rs6 nowadays so... Tough choice. Nows the time for me to get a 6 I think. You only live once !

A little more would get you in an R8. But then there is always something that is 'a little more'. Well done securing the deposit BTW, I'm sure the perspective new owner will love it and giggle all the way home in it.

Unfortunately an R8 isn't suitable for hauling dogs about - and I could maybe stretch to a v8 and then have to live with the regret of not having a v10... Nah. Give me the RS6 :D

If I was still looking and even though I'm not a Avant man I would have been all over this and for the price and spec its a bargain, CAT D or not.

Her new owner Dan collected her this afternoon and was like a dog with two dicks he was so excited. I think (and hope!) he's as happy as he looked.

Was a real moment/twinge of "what have I done :(" as I watched him drive away. Really gonna miss this car.

Chin up though - off to see an RS6 tomorrow...
