Thoughts about this car on ebay?

I'm considering this car which is listed on ebay:
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2007-AUDI-RS4 ... 1075550567
I guess that the main concern I have is that I'm suspicious of ebay and would have felt a lot better if it had been listed on pistonheads or autotrader. It's definitely not helped by the way the add is written (language and things like "very rare bucket seats").
Does anyone here have any experience with the car or seller?
How is the sport suspension compared to standard? Same DRC issues as std? Much stiffer?
Is Dolphin Grey darker or lighter than Daytona?
What's the winter pack and "quick clear front windows"?
What's the phone component next to the stereo, have seen that on a few adds so guess it's a factory option? It looks like it's missing the actual phone?
thanks!

I can't comment on this car in particular as I don't know it/never seen it but, for me, the manner in which the advert is written would put me off. I guess if it was EXACTLY what I was looking for (spec/miles/history/colour/condition/price etc. etc.) then further investigation might be warrantied, but overall I think there are better options out there ..

The seller is talking out his arse but that does not mean it is a bad car.
But it would make me wary if I went to see it.

They describe themselves as a vehicle body specialist so i would check carefully for any repaired damage.

Thanks, that's a great spot!
Am definitely sending to Audi for check-up prior to any potential purchase.

Gosh, I can't believe I missed that in the add. Well considering how much bs the add contains maybe not that surprising.
No way I'm buying it then. Thanks for the help!!

Saved me an HPI check...

As above - In the small print towards the bottom of the advert it says that the car is on the V-register and has hardly been driven since - I read that as having had a big accident, it has taken long time to repair and get into a saleable condition.
Avoid.

Check out their 100% feedback rating, seem to sell a lot of cars but most of them look to be replicas, maybe they buy them in stick some body panels on them then sell them on? I bought a A4 Cab off ebay years ago, ebay is just another way of advertising really I would never bid on a car unless it was less than a grand.
I can't find a website for them and if they were shifting that many cars don't you think that is something you should have?
The worst case is you go and have a look at the car it doesn't feel right so you walk away…… Actually the worst case is you go to look at the car in that dimly lit car park the photos are taken in, they mug you, knock you out, then you wake up in a hotel bath that is full of ice with a note telling you that you need to call 999 as your kidneys have been nicked…… But I doubt that would happen again.
Good luck!

Big +1 - plenty out there that's not on the V register - that single fact would make me walk. Anyone selling an RS4 does not make a point about bumpers.
To balance that, when I bought my car, the advert was a horror and I simply wanted to walk. But I did my due diligence, spent 2 days going to see the car and bought it in the end - it was and is a great example.
Just because a seller can't finesse a sentence, doesn't mean the car is necessarily a dog.

Geeze Sam, you watch waaaaaayyyy to much fiction! Or Surrey aint what it use to be

I've scanned the ad quickly 2 or 3 times and can't see the V-Car part, it's bang out of order that it's that disguised - I can't be arsed reading it letter by letter. It's like putting, 'now fitted with a 1.1 engine' in small print.
Sick of dickhead sellers disguising the fact - borders on misrepresentation, entrapment and by hiding it's disingenuous, which speak volumes about the type of trader they are.
What a crock of shat ad:
“This fantastic example of this cult car has to be one of the best kept, unabused models currently in the UK, fastidiously maintained in every way, a true credit to both of its owners, this one is not going to stick around for long!!!”??? Oh Reeeeeeeeeally?
PLEASE NOTE, THE PICTURES ARE NOT THE BEST DUE TO THE RAIN, THE AMAZING PAINTWORK LOOK A BIT DULL IN SOME PLACES BUT I ASSURE YOU ALL IS WELL, WE WILL BE UPLOADING BETTER PICTURES AS SOON AS THE WEATHER PERMITS US TOO. All is well is it?
The all important Cambelt (Timing-Belt), Tensioners and Water-pump were replaced and the receipt is also present for this? Oh REEEALLLLY!!! I'd love to see that!!!
RS4 RED BREAK CALIPER UPGRADE - Oh of course, I forgot the black calipers I see in the ad, mean red ones, and must be broken as they are BREAK ones
FACTORY TUNED FOR BETTER PERFORMANCE AND ECONONMY - Damn I should have spec'd that on my car!!
A TOTALLY NON-SPOILT EXAMPLE - So a car on the register is 'Non Spoilt???!!'
the car comes with all the usual TDI specification - So it's a TDi now is it?!!
After all that I still for the life of me can't see the V-Car bit!!!!!!!
W*NKERS utter W*NKERS!!
The best ad I ever saw clearly advertised for a category write off car, had detailed pictures of the accident, repair process and parts used, receipts and finished job.
