Alarm Upgrade
Hi All, due to the seemingly increase in seat/vehicle thefts I am becoming increasingly paranoid about my car so I am looking to upgrade the standard alarm which seems to be worthless, I have already had a secondary immobiliser fitted and tracker system and have settled on the Clifford 330x1 which is a reasonable price and utilises the standard keyfob, has anyone here had one fitted? I would be grateful for their thoughts on this system,Thanks,Bill.

Details here guys - http://caraudiosecurity.com/330x1-oem-alarm-system
This peaks my curiosity too and am also curious regarding the 561T remote start module that they claim is compatible too. If they somehow wangle that to also integrate in to the OE keyfob then happy days, but I doubt it. The thing that always put me off Clifford systems was the nuclear warhead launch control panel that they supplied you for the alarm fob.

Re: Alarm Upgrade
Just contacted fitter to arrange installation assures me this system uses original keyfob. Bill.
Re: Alarm Upgrade
I had the same alarm fitted and it has been fine - no false alarms or anythin like that. It does use the remote although there are 2 "warnings" regarding it.
1 - The internal sensors interfere with the regular internal sensors & so they have to be disabled - this means the door LED flashes differently as it is indicating a failed set - no big deal really but would have been nice if didn't have this problem.
2 - Because it relies on the remote if you open the door with the key (or use the pastic key) then the alarm won't be disabled so will need to enter the "valet code" to use the car so I would copy & keep these instuctions in the car.
If you are down south then I can highly recommend Dragon Automotive who installed mine.
