Passenger ride?

Not quite sure what the reaction to this question may be but thought its worth a shot.

At bit of background first, I fell in love with the B7 RS4 Avant a few years back and have always planned to own one. I've been a member of this forum for some time and love reading about some of the stories and pleasure (and pain) that you guys get from your cars.

My own car history isn't that exciting apart from a couple of Mk5 Golf GTi's which I loved. The current company car has just gone back and today the new A3 S-Line Sportback arrives.

I have already decided and have plans in place when a share scheme materialises to purchase my own B7, however that isn't for another 18 months and I've got a wedding and house extension to fit in before that too!

I've decided on buying an RS4 having never been in one or driven one, is that strange? Normally I would say yes but I love everything about the B7.

I live in Sonning Common, not far from Reading in South Oxfordshire. My question would be, would anyone if they have a spare 30 mins one weekend be kind enough to take me out for a passenger ride? Obviously when I'm much closer to purchase I will test a few at that point but don't feel like its fair to do that at this point knowing I'm not ready to part with the cash just yet.

I love the cars and would be over the moon if anyone does live close enough to make this happen. I thought if you don't ask you don't get so probably worth a shot! ;-)

Many thanks all and I look forward to hearing your thoughts.

Sounds like a great shout. Nothing booked in for that day and as you say looks like a cracking plan to come along, as long as somebody doesn't mind taking me out that would be brilliant.

Of course mate, they're a good bunch on here - put your name down on the thread so you can keep track of meeting times etc :-) see you then
