Best ECU maping for b7 RS4
Hi, was wondering out of your experience what the best/most effective ecu upgrade for the b7 RS is?
Am looking in the new year to start off with a mapping and an exhaust (looking into the tubi)
Thanks

What's your definition of "best"? - most power, most torque, most drivability, lowest 1/4 mile time, fastest lap time of ???,...

Best all rounder in terms of power & torque gains. Coming from a 100% stock setup, I will be Looking to pair this up with a performance exhaust

For the road I'd say MRC would be hard to beat and have a good handle on these engines.

I know revo & VAG are a good couple lol. Garage near mine remapped an rs6 v10 & almost got 100bhp from it. I know N/A won't do as good but still lol

Revo? =avoid like the plague on all platforms that companies a mess. Mrc have the best rep in the uk and I believe you can now buy the jhm tune from the states which is also highly rated

I am based in South Africa, so will have to see if the MRC is available thru a dealer here.
Thks for the feedback. I see APR also offer a mapping- anyone experienced this?

I'd seriously consider the jhm tune then if I was you. I'm sure there's a few SA members on here maybe ask them?

How about APR? Any experience here? They have both ecu upgrade and supercharger kit.

Re: Best ECU maping for b7 RS4
I'm anti apr because of their false bullshit claims regarding their b7 supercharger kit so would never consider them.

I am very pleased with the jhm 93 oct tune and highly recommend it.

Re: Best ECU maping for b7 RS4
how do you upload the jhm tune to your car? ? is it a generic map or custom?
Re: Best ECU maping for b7 RS4
Any apr dealer can do so...or anyone with a jhm cable.Rick_RS4 wrote:how do you upload the jhm tune to your car? ? is it a generic map or custom?
You can also diy it in 45 minutes if you order a cable. I have one if you want to come to Canada and use it

JHM so far has been tops from what I've seen. Dyno, quarter mile, logging data, pbox, you name it.Daytona RS wrote:Best all rounder in terms of power & torque gains. Coming from a 100% stock setup, I will be Looking to pair this up with a performance exhaust
I'm sure MRC would be close. Although we haven't seen much performance testing from MRC mapped cars. Would like to see more guys hit santa pod to see how MRC, AMD etc stack up. Or get a pbox and share it and have someone review the files for elevation changes etc

Since I had an MRC Stage 2 done in the Summer I've been finding every excuse to drive my RS4
