Post by Tellm » Fri Dec 27, 2013 10:08 am

 Help and advice needed if poss please driving along in traffic in the rs4 when all of a sudden the engine stalled I managed to re start it but it was not running on all cylinders and could smell petrol then started to smoke really bad and the engine management light came on (but not oil smoke petrol )so switched her off and rang the aa the aa turned up and I must say as far as aa men go he was pretty good he put it through his diagnostic and a fault on cylinder 5 came up so I tried to start iit but the engine was flooded so then relayed it to my mechanic on Xmas eve and he managed to start it before he went home and all seemed ok he took it up the road and same thing started to happen again he took a couple of plugs out and they were dripping in fuel also it seems to be on one bank of cylinders only ?? Any ideas would be massively appreciated. The car is stage 2 mapped pre cats gutted no cats cold air feed (possibly map issue )thanks Terry

A VCDS fault code scan would be a good place to start.

There's 2 threads running on this subject - let's close this one and only use the other one.
