I seem to recall (maybe 2011?) that their was a blue Avant advertised on Pstnhds. Ultra low mileage; as new - 'stealer' condition.
Does you know what happened to it? would be nice to know if anyone on here has it.

Found this of Colin's, not sure of the colour from this pic - but Malcolm's looked more metallic, like Kingfisher?

IIRC they were asking ridiculous money for Colin McRae's car, you would need to have more money than sense AND be a Colin McRae fanatic to pay anywhere even close to what they were asking.

I believe it was purchased by the above person from Bramley Motors nr Guildford. They are always premium when it comes to price but the stock is always quality examples.
IIRC Tim Harvey had a silver RS4 too?

Time to fess-up. I think I confused Wilson with Harvey? Old age maybe creeping in...must go have a lie down.

Malcolm Wilson was a very good rally driver, driving for Ford, he was then given the job of building Ford world championship rally cars and engines until very recently. His son Mathew was competing at the very top as well.

The trouble is victor2vt, that Malcolm's best driving days were before many of the newer generation of RS4 owners were either born or had any interest in cars

He drove in the Scottish Rally champ's two years ago and did very well considering he doesn't really compete any more. Himself and McRae and a few others all hung out together in the clyde valley when they were younger (and older) and they were all good drivers but some chose to do more on the mechanical side.
Shame there isn't a crowd like them these days.
It was also really cool having McRae (Scotland) and Burns (England) fighting for the WRC, I'm not interested in it now
Who would have thought back then that they would both be gone from this world so soon

That aside they clearly had and have great taste in cars

Come on any petrol head who's old enough to own an RS4 should know who Malcolm Wilson is!!
The guy managed the BP Ford Rally team for donkeys years and is still a director of Fords M sport division which covers WRC too.
The golden days of WRC have sadly long gone though, so it's not so widely followed anymore
