Revolution Carbon Airbox

Post by ranksie » Fri Dec 06, 2013 8:25 pm

Hi all. After nearly two years away I have found that no other car can match the RS4 within the money I wanted to spend! So I'm back and couldn't be happier.
My old RS was a mint 19000 miles 2006 Saloon which had its plate slated on here ;-) (Y8RSA) (be interested to know if someone on here bought it? it was at TMS vehicle solutions in Syston Leicestershire)
Anyways, since buying the new toy, Avant in Daytona I had put a non res Miltek on, which although sounded awesome it was a little too loud for my tastes (must be an age thing) so I sold that and fitted the Carbon Airbox…. and what a difference its made, more to the noise than any noticeable power gains but the noise is just what I've been looking for, that V8 Rumble.
I would highly recommend it if anyone is sitting on the fence. I will post some pics once I can remember how….
G

I think they have them in stock, with an offer on the forge pipe etc included in the price. I found them really helpful when I had a few questions when fitting.

I was sceptical about them. Nit sure I have power gains but it does sound better and looks the dogs, I can't seem to get the front holes to line up to screw it to the car, and there are no screws for it either?

Great service from revolution tho

Yeah, good to be back thanks Stu.
Rick, funny you should say that about the screws missing for the front connection, I had exactly the same issue, keep meaning to go and get some.
Its all about the sound and looks!

Got me interested, mines totally standard apart from plugging the rear vac lines so sport noise all the way. Ive searched YouTube for a few sound clips from the front but nothing. ..maybe a new post when your finished? :)
Mugello blue avant black optics...Nearly standard...milltek resonated valved, spaced 10 rear 8 front☺

fitted mine properly tonight when changing a side light bub, you have to push the scoop towards the front of the car and use yor fingers from underneath to push up, the scoop then squeezes into place, i used some m4 screw bolts to secure it.

fits perfect now
