Audi also provided Dynamic Ride Control to reduce pitch and roll at the touch of a button but still provide a compliant ride when not switched on.

Thought it was a fair report (except for the DRC bit) - the RS4 comes out well out of it,
And I got quoted on the interior, does this make me famous? :biggrin3:

I just posted this:
I've had a B7 RS4 for 4 years now, no major problems. I've just taken it 2800 miles around Austria and Germany with no issues. You need to drive it like you stole it sometimes, get the air flowing through the V8 - don't stop/start in traffic, she doesn't like this. I have an Elise 111R also and I have mixed feelings about that so each to his own - that's why some guys buy Bentleys - bit of power, bit of luxury but neither dominating, again - each to their own. I know guys that have moved onto R35 GTRs that have come back or moved to 2.0 TDi Audis and come back. The truth is that the RS4 is just a little of everything but a little of everything done exceptionally well and infused with quality. She has her issues but you can swap out the DRC for KW V3s for £1600 if required. Just keep her serviced with a specialist - personally I use MRC in Banbury, they did the Milltek non-res and soon will do the Cold Air Feed and MAP probably - don't use Audi (except Camberley). Also use a forum before and after you buy. http://www.rs246.com are pretty awesome with some great guys - even guys who have changed cars still post on there (even one with an M3 urgghgh), just nice motorheads that love the petrol. No car is perfect but this one ticks so many boxes - if you don't want a fast saloon go Porsche, want the big family SUV go Q7 or Panamera. The RS4 is a timeless and limited run blend of many desirable indulgences. The noise on start alone makes me smile, it really is intoxicating. In the same way that I know people rave about the Elise (and I don't) I can see why people get upset with the RS4. It's just where you place your value proposition - I like big fast Audis, the fact that it is understated and romanticise about being in the film 'Ronin' - my wife likes MX-5s.
That's my view anyway.

I love Ronin. Great car chases. I saw the making of it once and I think the guy was driving the car from the boot in some scenes.

I've only read the first page so far. How come none of you have mentioned that they repeatedly state the power incorrectly (they say 420hp, but it is 420ps or 414bhp).

Now my cars running just under 440 break, my fuel just gets guzzled up in no time, with my heavy right foot I don't even bother looking, might just see how bad I can get it, this sounds much better fun :bigblink:

It's because we all saw it Mike but apathy has most probably crept in, they also say the DRC is switchable On/Off - it can't have been hard to have checked this - the journo must have been asleep.
