Insurance renewal

Just had mine through and it's actually gone down by about £20 (to £316

) which surprised me. I expected quite a hike what with the increase in premiums that mates have had and the problems with thieving toerags targeting our cars. Anyone else been similarly surprised?

Mine's up in December, gone down each time for the last three years, hoping for the same again.

+1, mine has gone down every year I've had it although that did include a move out of London, but it's still continued to drop each year. It was further enhanced by 3 points for speeding as that knocked a further £50 off (doing a direct comparison on money supermarket with and without points). Te only time it went up was when I added all the mods but a quote without the mods showed it would have actually gone down had I not had any mods done.

Just renewed both the rs3 and rs4 on multicar policy for the sum total of £389. You can't say better than that.

One of the bad things about being a Squaddie based in Germany, only 7 companies we can choose from. A RS4 in the UK would cost me around £470 fully comp with 10 years NCB protected plus all the additional options....out here in British Forces Germany (BFG) it was going to cost me €253 per month.....gutted and has meant that I now have a S5 instead of the RS4 or RS5. Still costing me almost €70 per month too...cant wait to get back to the UK and get the car I actually want!!
Glad you are all getting good deals though

WTF..... 34 years old, 10 years no claims and live in a village (admittedly in Essex) but I got £650.... and I was over the moon with that after coming from Islington!

Looks like Scotland is pretty cheap for insurance.
Mines just gone down from 640 to 550, so I phoned up as usual and they knocked it down again to 450 for exactly the same policy (inc extra named driver etc).

Renewed mine in July for £223.00. Would have been £159.00 without any add ons
