Dos anyone run 10mm H&R spacers on the fronts? Need to know if they make the steering judder at all? Cheers

Firestarter had a topic just a week or so ago, sure a few members have 10mm on the front.

Regardless of size of spacer though, it won't cause wheel wobble

If the spacers are hub-centric then you'll be okay 10mm though will be a bit tight with std wheels, taking a looking at your signature you appeared to have lowered the car already, I went for 8mm on the front and I still had some slight rubbing whilst under heavy load. Running 65cm front & 64cm at the back. (taken from wheel arch)

Well basically I was gonna have it done yesterday hence why I put it on my signature but when I went to collect they said the 10mm hub centric spacers didn't sit completely flush with the wheel which could cause steering wobble! So they suggested to make up to spigets of solid metal to sit in the middle so they could sit flush as they have done this for many rs4's due to the lip being too big on the hub centric spacers!

That's the first I heard of this with these spacers!? (Although I had 8mm at the front)

I would PM Virdee on here as he has a lot of experience in this area.

I keep hearing of people with trouble with spacers except for those that use Virdee. You don't need spigots if you have the right hubcentric spacers. There are lots of different tyoes with different lip sizes, angles etc but Virdee know the ones that work on our cars.

I had to raise the car a tad as together with these I have 15mm spacers on the rear and originally had slight rubbing. No wobble issues and they are a quality bit of kit and come with the extended wheel bolts as well. link to 15mm below

That just sounds like you're using the wrong spacers. I've heard of some with too shallow a chamfer on the inside edge that fouls on internal radius on the hub, so doesn't sit flush. It happens with some rep wheels too (when using spacers), I think.

Please do share the outcome of your converstaion with Virdee on the type and make of spacer he recommends. I am also interested thanks

There are quite a few different bevel angles made by H&R for the Audi 5 hole PCD, it sounds like you have the wrong one and the spacer is not sitting flush to the hub face.

There was along discussion on the different types on here, and it seemed the only way to get the right ones was to go to Virdee or like somebody else mentioned, Revolution.

Thanks for all your help! Sorted it with APS now after ringing unit 20! No part number as they still have my spacers but they are the right ones!

10 mm is too much on the front IMO,looks chav from the front and leaves the wheels protruding the arch too much,I've also a set of 10mm hubcentrics that didn't seat properly,they were off eBay but never arsed to return em.Bought the cheapies for my a4 tdi,RS has H&R,I run 3mm plain on the front of RS and 10 rear it's just right,5mm plain on the front is dangerous though as the wheel doesn't locate on the hub centre any more.
