Took a trip down to the Crail Raceway today for the Revo VAG day and happened to bump into this little lot of beauties........

You could say it was a miniature RS246.com club stand......Happy days.

Was good to meet some of you guys again and great to meet some new people too.

A few pics from today....... :kissmyrings:

Great pics again Mark, all of them, I particularly like the first one. Really good to meet you guys again today and also the new faces( whose names I've forgotten already). Always good to see a collection of RS4's together. We might even have signed up another couple of new forum members too. Fantastic days weather for September, Crail is very rarely like that I'd imagine.

Revo Technik were sponsoring the event today and also giving out some trophies; RS246 got the 'Best Club Stand' award and I got the 'Best Modified Car' award which I was more than a little surprised about considering some of the other fine machinery that was there.
Maybe I'll splash out for an uprated clutch and then be persuaded to put it down the strip the next time....... :D

Look's like you had great weather and also a splash of colour in the lineup!

Result on the trophy's considering this was only put together a few days ago!

Sad I was in Norway and even more sad my motor is for sale :-(

Can I still come to the meets in the misses A3?

Great pictures Mark, was nice to meet you and everyone else on Sunday. I am terrible at remembering names as well, everyone was called Mark, Dave or Iain though right? :)

Found that green GT3 RS on pistonheads Iain, wrong wheels and 997.2 side sills but apart from that it is perfect!

Well deserved guys, what could ever out-clubstand a group of RSs? Shame you didn't get down the strip Iain, would love to see what time that thing can put in.

And probably about 8k too expensive! Maybe someday.......

Marty, I'm still running a standard clutch, which is fine for most of the time, but it wouldn't stand up to a decent drag race start. Whilst I'd kinda like to do it I pretty much know what can be done with the car anyway as Danny did 11.42 with his similar TTS charged car at Crail. Also, I'm never one to do things half-heartedly so if I'm going to do it then I'm going to do it properly or not at all; which means spending @2k on a clutch etc, not sure I can justify that expense in my head yet. :)

8k is nothing in the grand scheme of things, I just need to find a way of raising the other 76k!

Perhaps I need to start selling some 'special cargo' on the black market Alex?

Please don't include me in the 'cargo' sales but i reckon you could accumulate the 76k quickly lol

Did any of the RS4s make it down the Dragstrip??

Oh and 22B why have a supercharged car if you're not going to accelerate hard? I guess you never pull away quickly from a light or at an on ramp for an expressway? I'm being sarcastic of course. I know you push the car. People are just too intimidated by the Dragstrip and everyone fills everyone else's head with takes of horror and woe. "you'll surely destroy your clutch if you run!!!" . BOLLUCKS!

The Dragstrip isn't all about 6000 rpm clutch drops. You can, in that TTS monster, pull away like you would in a spirited fashion from a green light, then just rip through the gears. If Danny went 11.4 @ 125 at the pod (well, his car did with MRC driving anyway) a soft, clutch friendly launch would produce something like 11.75 @ 126. At Crail you would likely be even quicker. That would be more than fun, and enough to destroy just about anything you face unless it was nearly purpose built and running race fuel.

Shame... I think you'd find it intoxicating in that car.

Crail is slower than the pod there is ZERO prep. I never ran under 11.6 up there when I had the tts kit. I agree, you wouldn't do your clutch in up there with the tts kit
