£85 for pagid pads here which will be identical to the ones that are supplied in an Audi box that you throw away that are also made by Pagid.

Nice money saving tip for you there ;)

i think eurocarparts have bought the normal cheap made in china pagid "brand" side of the business.
pagid racing is a separate company, they supply audi oem and make proper pads and are still made in germany i think?.

I went with a Brembo set through Kwik Fit with a lifetime guarantee (effectively 2 for 1)

They have been on for quite a while now and I have noticed no difference between them and OEM except under very heavy breaking they are a little better.

Recorded the mileage when fitted and when I get my second free set to change I will post how long they lasted so it can be compared to other brands.

Might be worth looking at Halfords with their current deal although I haven't read their T & C brake pads and shoes for life!

+3 Lol! Indeed, I briefly ran a set of these and as soon as they got a bit of heat in them they stopped working. Cheap for a reason....

I thought the standards were <beep> too hence going for DS2500. You get what you pay for i totally agree and Pagid is not on my list these days.

That wasn't standards you posted a link to, that was cheap china copy's hence my comment. Standard b7 brakes are terrible imo

my bad! i know standards are pagids though! must be a different compound bit as you say the standards are still terrible! was the first thing i changed when i got the car! all that weight with the power and not much stopping it was not an option!

Shows how easy a mistake it is to make though doesn't it? Think how many people actually buy them? Massive downfall of the b7 was the brakes, I made the switch to ceramics quite quickly

The ones advertised by youngben with the link is from a Sponsor on here I think, Philip walker. He owns an rs5 himself. His products are well respected on here I thought. Surely he wouldn't recommend something so inferior as an equivalent to oem ??? And don't the yellow stuff pads cost around £100 too (front pair) ..?

They are inferior pads there's been several people who have used them and ditched them quickly
