Spark plug, make, best price, where from?

Car has only 35k but is over 6 yrs old so need to get plugs changed. Dealers give u the option of ngk or Bosch, but which is better? Are they both long life? I understand the ngk has 3 electrodes whereas the Bosch has one....does this difference mean anything? Both are £14 something each retail from dealer . I know our cars came with ngk but I've also read somewhere that these were later identified as causing an issue such as cold start problems/misfiring...??? I don't know.
Where's the cheapest place to get these from?

I have always understood NGK to the best in the game and most OEM supplied plugs are NGK

The RS4 NGK's could be prone to the core breaking up and the part was superseded by Bosch items. That was what I was told.

Buy from eurocarparts for almost half the price Audi want to charge you, the either half local Indy fit or follow the guide on here and fit yourself.

Bosch platinums originally had soft core issues which is why some opted for NGK but it was largely a batch fault so if I had the choice, I'd opt for Bosch.

P_G are you sure you have that the right way around? Because that conflicts with what Audi told me and I also pulled out NGKs from my own car on it's first plug change.

I've checked retail prices here and there. As follows:
Audi dealers : £120/8 for ngk and Bosch
Audi Stoke : £102/8 plus delivery ,for either, for rs246 members (discounted)
Revolution : £120/8 for ngk (oem)plus delivery
£90/8 for Bosch (oem) plus deliv
Tps. : £105/8

Never thought to check with eurocarparts...didn't think they would have the right ones

Otherwise Bosch from revolution is best price. This price can probably be further discounted with a group buy I reckon. The difference between this price and your local Audi dealers is almost enough to pay for a k & n air filter from revolution.

Nobody including dealers, could confirm what surreysam was told. But it appears peeps favour the Bosch anyway.

The faulty Bosch batch was some 5 years ago ad it's been a year since I had an RS4 so it may be NGK has a similar problem at some stage
