Annoying Problem No 2! Tailgate open when its not!

Hi guys,

Another problem I have had with my car (as well as the brake pad warning light) is the tailgate. If I open the boot and then close it, the car still thinks the boot is open! It is annoying with it flashing in DIS! I have to open and close the boot a few times before it actually registers that boot is closed the picture in DIS disappears!

Is this a sensor or something I need to replace?

Had this one mine a little while ago. I just lubricated the lock mechanism on the bootlid and all was fine afterwards and has been since.

This happend to mine a few years back,common problem I believe mech or lach replaced under warranty
