Exhaust - How far should it stick out?

Post by toshers » Mon Sep 16, 2013 4:22 pm

Been looking at mine and thinking it could be a little too far out. Can anyone enlighten me as to the proper protrusion?

Pic's would be even better :beerchug:

You tried Google images? The B7 RS4 picture thread? There must be thousands of photos on the net already. Failing that, stick a photo of yours here and we'll tell you if they are ok or not.

I've noticed mine sticks out more when its warmed up. My bird doesn't complain as she like its warm and sticking out :bigblink:

I looked out the window the other day and thought.....it looks alright out.........so I left it out :boohoo:

Here's a clip of mine from a track day, with the cam pointing at the exhaust. My car recording starts at 8m30s mark

You can actually see the exhaust growing!!

Yes I have a Google and already looked at stacks of photo's. I was wondering if Audi had specified what the distance should be? I don't think mine is any worse or better than others, this is probably more a personal preference thing.

I'm going to move it in 1/2"-3/4" and see if I prefer that.
