Recommended Custom Exhaust Places in Greate Manchester area?

Post by Anees » Tue Jul 23, 2013 2:12 am

Hi guys,

I want to gut the pre-cats on my RS4 and also fit a x-pipe or h-pipe. Are there any places in the the North West that are familiar with this process on an RS4 that are recommended by forum members?

Thanks
Anees

Hi mate,

I just had a fabrication company called JC Weldfab do me a system from down pipes, removed pre cats, OEM cats in place (I didn't want them removing) but flanged so I can de cat if I wish, x pipe, valved hand made back boxes .

They are in Northampton and have done my car and Trups' RS6. They mainly do F1 stuff and 900bhp drag/race/hill climb cars. If you want meet up, I'm in Leeds, your welcome to have a listen. No drone, and the sport button now makes it sound like a different car. Had nothin but great comments ever since. No CEL light either.

Cheaper than Miltek and leagues better quality.

A lovely looking system showing the guys have some great skills when it comes to exhausts. Will you be posting some sound clips Vick?

Jon from JC Weldfab is such a perfectionist. Had my car a week, went out there way for me. Had the snapped studs drilled and threaded, did exactly what I asked and went beyond. I really need to get some more pics. :biggrin3:

I have new back boxes with brand new valves (the exact same valves as OE Bentley ones) so better than our Audi ones and new. Back boxes as made in house from scratch, nothing is pre made or just off the shelf. I have had my car a year and been looking since the day I got it for a good exhaust, very happy with it. :blackrs4:

Prices were £2200 from downpipes, hi flow cats (I have used my main cats to Save on costs ), X pipe, new rear back boxes with new valves.

Cat back is £1500. Prices are plus VAT if I remember correctly. Best giving Jon a call, very friendly and knowledgable person. JC Weldfab 01933 274579

I took my car to Bentley for a interim oil change and dif, gearbox oil change (the guide on here helped!) and they were blown away :)

Only pic I have of the tailpipes. Mine are OEM style but 15mm bigger so just a little bigger in brushed aluminium finish to match my trims. OCD!

I don't have any good recording gear but a friend has a Go Pro and we have talks about doing something to share with other RS4 owners. :)

Have you tried Pipe Werx? The owner Jeff has an RS4 B7 Avant with his system on, it sounds lovely and is great quality.

I heard Vick's a week ago and by far is one of the best sounding RS4's I have heard, much better than a C63 sound.
Phantom Black C6 RS6 - ex Classba battleship
Mugello C6 RS6 5.0 TFSi AVANT - Gone.

If you have any quieries for interior or exterior LED's then get in touch.

Been a while since this thread was used, but Vick, do you have any videos of this yet? Really interested if the difference between sport mode and standard are that different.
