My Daytona Avant - SOLD :(

Post by C17LJR » Mon Jun 17, 2013 4:20 pm

Hi all,

Long time lurker, finally got my RS4 after seeing the previous owner, Mark (slowmonkey on here)was thinking of selling and pestering him until it was mine.

Pretty much all the spec i was after, a 2007 in Daytona with silver optics, buckets and FBSW. Luckily it had just been fitted with a resonated milltek and H&R coilovers as I would have been doing that anyway. The car also came on the 20" BBS CKs with the standard 19" wheels to keep for spares.

Flew down to heathrow on Thursday, met Mark, confirmed the sale and had a laugh at the bank when the cashier tried to verify the Scottish hundred pound notes :knob:

Set off on the 475 mile trip home after loading the car up.

So got home and got the car emptied.

Standard wheels

Then these,

Seen Sonny had them for sale in the classifieds, spoke to him and he was kind enough to drive over to drop them off with Mark on the Wednesday before I got the car. Thank god the car was exactly as Mark described otherwise I'd have been wandering around Surrey with a pair of bucket seats wondering how I'd get home!

Thanks again to you both for helping me out!

Congrats, having bought my RS 900km away and driven it home I know exactly how much you would have enjoyed that trip. Car looks brilliant and will be the perfect family wagon with all the go fast you will ever need. Hope you get plenty of driving fun out of her

I did wonder if the wheels and buckets would fit in, glad they did. Bet that was a great drive home, nothing like a long drive back home in a newly purchased car.

Car looked great in the flesh when I dropped seats off, good purchase there.

Enjoy the car and seats
Money can't buy you love, but it can buy you a well sorted racecar

Thanks sonny, I was starting to panic but we managed to fit everything apart from the spare DRCs in. Was worried everything would be clunking all the way up but all sat perfect all the way after being wedged in
