the replacement 3D printed armrest clips have arrived and they work a treat!.

dead easy to fit-
first remove your arm rest lid from the car, you do this by squeezing together the two arms that connect the lid to the base and pry it free.

then you need to separate the leather top from the plastic underneath. i used an old butter knife slid between the leather and the plastic to unhook the clips at each side, there is also two spots of glue holding the leather section on but these came away quite easily with a bit of a pull. you only need to undo the first clip at each side of the front edge to give you enough room to fit the new clip.

then fit your spring bar to the clip

then fit the new clip by sliding the legs of the clip through the slots in the plastic underside and then locate the round pegs at the end of the legs into the corresponding holes in the plasitic base, then clip your leather top back into the plastic base ( mine clipped back together ok i didn't need to re glue it).
then refit your lid to your base, job done!.

just going to order one for my b6 s4 :)

as for how good they are compared to originals, i dont care lol, if it breaks every 6 months its cheaper than an £80 minimum for a new lid from audi lol!

these look great

the second version, w/o spring
what does it mean about an o-ring? it says see picture but I can't find it
"...then do a rubber ring between hock of the armrest and the sparepart to generate the necessary force (see pictures). ..."

What else should i be worried about? Poor build quality? Pricing?

I was thinking more of domestic terrorism, the triple dip recession and ever increasing school fees...

I'm sure the quality is great, and the pricing looks excellent. On that basis, give the poor chap a fortnight to clear his order backlog without the glum face!

Really am looking forward to this clip though, nervous about fitting it mind. Never had a working clip so once it's in will ad a nice bit of luxury
