new owner - bluetooth options

Hi,

ive just bought myself an RS4 after owning an S3 (8P) for the last few years. The difference is like chalk and cheese!! what a car, the drive back saw me grinning all the time and trying my hardest to stop the car going faster and faster!!

anyhow, i wondered if i could get some help. The car i purchased came with RNS-E head unit but as the car is an 06 plate it didnt come with bluetooth. The steering wheel doesnt have the phone control buttons either just the 4 standard buttons (+ and - and sports and set i think). The stereo is a bose one too. I just wondered what my options are RE bluetooth? Ideally id like to stream music via it aswell as making handsfree calls and i prefer for the mic to be hidden but its not a show stopper. Options i see are:

1. buy an Audi bluetooth add on (about £160 from ebay) but that wont do AD2P so add on a cheap bluetooth module and do the line in mod on back of head unit
2. Buy a 3rd part bluetooth add on which give AD2P but is about £230?
3. Change the headunit to something a bit more up to date (losing OEM look but gaining things like full postcode on sat nav)
4. buy a parrot unit but ill need to get an extra cable for 4 speaker A2DP i think (cus of bose?)

any other ideas or links to stuff i could look at?

cheers!

Luke

Bluetooth was an option from the first production cars.

I'd go for the retrofitted Audi BT unit (which you can control via the RNS-E and has the mic hidden in the interior light) plus an A2DP unit connected to the Aux In for music streaming.
