New and improved videos of Tubi exhaust! You need to listen!

Post by MikeFish » Wed Mar 06, 2013 10:36 pm

Well it will soon be time for the Milly Non-Res centre section to retire and her quiet sister will be taking over noise duties, but until then enjoy some of her glorious singing! Please turn it up and watch them all, there are some great sounds!

Forgive the quality of the sound as most of them have wind noise and my tripod rattling away, but you can still get an idea of the noise she makes.

Can't figure out how to get the actual video to appear here so you will have to click the links (sorry):

This first one was taken with the windows closed so it a little muted (bearing in mind my boot is double sound deadened) but at least there was no wind noise. Also, not much chance to rev as there was traffic (well, some of you will say it is not traffic but if there is a car in front of me going slower than I want to be going then to me that is traffic).

Now i have a couple of engine starts (sorry for the beeping I have LED DRLs and Foglights setting off warnings and no TPMS sensors at the minute):

This one is a bit noisy but I think it is the most open road so revving a bit harder but all still well under 7K.

Now some general ones; no real revving, all under 5k:

Mine drones. That's probably due to the non res milltek. I can let you know if the resonated makes much difference but everyone says the non res milltek drones but the resonated doesn't so I imagine it'll have the same effect on the Tubi.
Jason, is your exhaust standard other than the Tubi? Do you have the Rumore?

Why do you think he's getting a res centre, because his boyfriend hates the drone

I don't know, he didn't say

I would suspect that he hates the drone (forget about the domestic partner) because it is as annoying as heck on long trips

I had a B&B on my e36 M3 and it droned something awful
swapped it out for a supersprint and it was perfect

Silas knows from my other thread that my wife has been complaining about getting woken up when I start the car in the morning and in fact makes her jump! She also says it wakes our baby up too so I am trying a resonated centre section to quiten it a bit. Hopefully get rid of that drone too.
The drone on long trips isn't so bad for 2 reasons: 1) I don't sit a 2k rpm when on the motorway, more like 3 or 4k in 6th, 2) My stereo can go quite loud.
