Yeah, don't do it. Wheels look PERFECT as is. If you go black with the wheels you'll lose the impact of the lowered stance. It'll just be a sea of black.

What you might get away with is maybe leaving the polished face and going black with the rotors and inners.

I'm gonna say go all black Mike, but then I'm a fan of the black-on-black look, so I would say that.

Your motor sure is looking fine though

Thanks for the advice guys.
I was just looking at it from a distance in the halfords car park and I must say it looked awesome. I think maybe one of the reasons I've held off painting the wheels is that most of the wheel is already halfway to being dark. As I was looking at it I did think that if the wheels were too dark I wouldn't be able to see the concave-ness. So I do partly agree about the sea of black but I don't agree with painting them black and leaving the silver; I don't like that look. If anything I think I'd rather paint the silver bits a darker shade, maybe the sane as the rest of the wheel.
Al I'm a big fan of all black cars (with very dark grey wheels) but I'm still undecided! Think I need to concentrate on sorting out those windows first.

Thinking about it. I've seen all black, all silver, black with polished edges but I don't recall seeing them titanium. I'd appreciate it if you could find that pic.

I'd like to see yours in the metal one day Mike - working on my stance with the new rims right now.

Gotta be right

It's in the garage. Will be making a special guest appearance at the AmD rolling road day.

How far away are you from Thurrock? Could always pop along (assuming you are not too far away) just to see the wide variety of RS4 that will be there inlcuding mine.

It will take you a lot longer than that, but yeah, it's a bit far! Maybe there'll be another event soon a bit closer.

I bought an R8 power steering cap to try out. It didn't state it would fit a B7 and it didn't look quite right in the photos but I thought it was worth a shot. Unfortunately it doesn't fit!!
The orignal one looks really poor especially when it is sitting in the middle of that carbon cover:

It is just too big, and the gauge inside is too short. I might take another look at it and see if I can take the 2 apart and fuse them together i.e. the thread and gauge from the original one and the top of the R8 one. Might be possible or I may end up selling it on. Apparently it fits other models like the B8.

I'm also looking into doing the seat backs and interior trims again. Looking for a cheap set of trims to experiment with.

Yeah I was planning on having a go later in the week. I was stripping the boot lid just now for the rear view camera.
