Alloy Dilemma...

Alloys have pitted in places.
Mulling over whether to get them reconditioned back to Audi silver, or keep them as Gun Metal... Silver definitely makes the alloys look larger than what they are IMHO.
Thoughts?

What colour is the car? What shade of "gun metal" iv seen about 5 shades. Would you consider OEM Titanium?

Do them silver for a change. Will match the window surrounds and roof rails. Will look more "smart" than "street".

Agreed - yes, I'm more for silver then street Gun Metal. Looks nicer IMHO. Mates buzzing in my ear and saying Gun Metal.

Dark wheels (anthracite not black) and then convert to black optics. Stealth not street.

With nothing else grey on the car, the wheels look out of place. Go back to silver and they'll stand out a lot more, plus will tie in with mirrors/windows/exhaust. It'll give you better contrast against black paint.

biggest issue I have with my silver rims is how readily they show up brake dusts, after only around 2 days after a wash.
If you dont wash your car too often then think carefully about silver.
How does the brake dust look on dark wheels?

To me, the wheels were a big attraction on the RS4 when it first came out, and still are, and although I appreciate that lesser models since got similar wheels, they are not the same. The greatly dished wheel hub is highlighted in the original silver and imo looks the dogs. A coat of good wheel rim wax / sealant helps to keep brake dust at bay, but its like the car, they only look their best when they are clean. Silver for me - without question, but it's only a personal preference.......
