Hi Guys , i have recently fitted H&R anti roll bars to my car and while underneath I saw that the inside pads wer getting down a bit so it wont be too much longer before I need new pads on the front , the pads in it are OEM pads ad I,m happy with the day to day performance of them, but was thinking of a change
After a few searchesI see that yellowstuff pads are popular , in the past I have found that greens and reds can be prone to squealing when cold , any comments on the yellows ?I will be retaining the wires so that rules out several types , the Pagid pads seem readily available but I doubt whether they are the same material as OEM at that price and am not keen on trying them unless anyone has any input /experience of them , I dont track the car , but it does get "used " :bigblink:
any Input or personal experiences appreciated
BTW its off to MRC newt week for mapping of the PES charger... eventually, after work commitments and the shiiite weather held things up and the large distance involved meaning it has to be transported :-(

Just installed carbotech pads. They're called bobcats, their street use pad. 1521 I believe. They feel fine, but they've only been on a short time.

I have just gone from OEM pads to ferodo Premier, I can't quite believe how good they are...For more fast road pads Carbotech are hard to beat.

Do Ferodo or Carbo have the built-in sensors like OEM?

Didn't somebody mention a replacement pad which was somewhat tougher on the discs than normal, building up a lip pretty quickly :S

Carbotech have the sensors.

I believe stoptech doesn't but you can use the ones from your old pads to trick the system.

I just stuck in a set of EBC Red Stuffs (with sensors), they were around $250 from Ebay.

They squeeled like a pig for about 1 week (very enmbarrassing), but all good now, and throw off a lot less dust than OEMs.

I only use on (spirited) streets

Even though you seem to have made your decision, I thought I would chip in with my thoughts.

Last pad change I went from OEM to Pagid RS4-2s. While I don't know how they would stack up to the potential higher speeds of a Supercharged car, they have been fantastic for fast road and occasional track days.
The price isn't far off dealer prices for OEM either.
