Well its had the services, would be a good buy, brand new condition.

Hopefully there are no hidden costs, due to corrosion, would be a good to find out if it was dry stored.

That's a rare example - and bloody nice and expensive with that mileage!
A couple of questions for those in the know....

1) Was the suede steering wheel a factory option? I like that a lot but doubt it would last very long...
2) It has the black optic kit - but the Audi rings are silver? - I've a phantom black with black optics and my audi rings grill is all black - was this just how the black cars came?

1) I don't know but I like it too.
2) as far as I know all cars come with silver rings only, but somebody on here recently said that they had a friend whose car came with black ones from the factory bu I've never heard or seen this before. I thought black rings were an aftermarket only item. If it was option then it's bloody rare as the only cars I've seen with black rings have been aftermarket jobbies. It was one of the first things I did to my car. A black car looks terrible with bright silver rings especially as there is no other bright silver on the car except the exhaust.

1) Black suede RS steering wheel, handbrake grip and gear leaver knob was a £450 option.
2) I doubt very much that it came with the black Audi rings, my guess is its after market or wrapped.

Amazing i have had 3 cars that have done over 100k with the same engine, although people think that "low mileage" cars are a better buy??
Personally save yourself 10K - 15K and enjoy the car.

Not this same car again!... It crops up every few months at a silly asking price and then disappears again, presumably while the seller has a reality check :drink: and then it comes back

I remember seeing it a year ago when it was up for high £40s, then about 6 months ago it was low £40s. Give it another year and it may a sensible price. If nothing else it's got to be one of the most expensive B7 RS4s for depreciation per mile!

The tyres may not have turned much, but at 7 years old I'll bet they're perished to bu99ery by now

Anybody know the part numbers for these options or the price? I imagine they are extortionate from the stealers.

There is a school of thought that says a car that's done that low mileage could be a worse buy than a high mileage one - as the engine, transmission, oil, water, brakes, etc. will probably never have got up to temperature as it will only have been driven on short runs and hence never properly warmed up.

I guess it depends on how those miles were done. I it has averaged 2 to 300 hundred miles a year then what Dave is saying is true. If it has done 3200 in one year then stored properly for the rest (very unlikely) then that's a slightly different story.
However, I'd be wary of buying a car of that age with such low miles. If it was a collectors car like a Ferarri then this is expected but not on a normal everyday usage kind of car. Why has it to been used more? Something wrong with it?
I certainly wouldn't be paying a 50% premium for the low miles.

Edit: actually isn't that twice the price Nick had his very nice example up for sale a couple of weeks ago? You could buy 2 for that price and keep one as spares

A few years ago now i bought a Impreza WR1 with only 2400 miles, it been dried stored for two and a half years.
For the first six months i had nothing but trouble with the brakes not bedding in properly due to the service rust on the discs wearing out the pads, before the pads could clean of the rust giving full contact of the pad to the disc. Everything else was on the car was as new.
Due to the limited service history, even though it had not been used, i had no warranty what so ever from Subaru, i would certainly think twice again before paying top money for a car that has not been used, i am sure you are better off with one of higher mileage with history and well looked after .
