A very sad day indeed...

Unbelievably I sadly write that i have sold my beloved RS4!
It all happened rather quickly as I never really thought I would sell the car. I saw a wanted sign in the classifieds on here

and just e-mailed the guy out of interest. Anyway a few days later Paul is now in the ownership of my lovely Sprint Blue car. It is the quickest that I have ever sold a car before.
So congratulations Paul on your new motor and I hope it is as good to you as it has been for me!
As for me I will be having a break from expensive cars and will just get a cheap runabout.
The RS4 ownership has been fantastic and I was very upset when it went down the road and I could hear the milltek!

God they sound awesome!
Thanks to everyone on here for your advice over the years but I will still contribute!

There is not a car out there that can replace the rs4 that i'd want to be honest! I researched on here and looked at 14 other b7s before I bought mine. I know it sounds sad but at the moment it feels as though a part of me is missing!

Life is about priorities sometime and a bigger house is needed so even though selling the car wasn't essential, it will help. It is a sacrifice I have had to make. It has been the greatest car I have had.

must be hard if someone offered you the monies there and then for the car (and at asking price or over?).
How many would do it?

Well yes it's me

my wife and I are now the very proud new owner of a lovely Rs4.
After getting up at silly O'clock heading from Reading to Preston by train, found myself outside Nigel's house, quick hello and let's see the beast, ok never heard a milltek from cold

omg, quick look over the car and road test SOLD!!!
Nigel was a friendly guy and made the sell very easy as a fellow car fan spoke a bit about past cars ect.
So the drive home 280miles 3hrs 45mins

smiling all the way, not bad on fuel got 189miles on half tank got home 1/4 tank left happy with that,
Wife went out for a quick blast

happy wife
Massive thanks to Nigel sorry mate
Paul very happy Rs4 owner

Hopefully you'll stay active on the forum Paul, it's a great place to find help for any probs you might run into. Really nice to see the car sold to a fellow enthusiast!
