I am looking at improving the stance on my 19's not bothered about track days just looking to give the car a better stance. Not a fan of the look where the wheel disappears inside the arch either bit too much for me.

I know some guys have springs, others coilovers but not sure what the best option for me would be. Costs including fitment would also be appreciated as I know the prices on some sites end up being considerably more with fitment.

I have H&R springs with DRC, about F/R 0.7"/0.6" drop
also 4 x 8mm spacers
looks perfect to me

springs are cheap if you can find an indy who can deal with the DRC and knows what they are doing, unit 20/Grizz is one of them

are the H&R the same lowering as the SS+?

Can anyone recommend a good coilover kit? ie: Bilstein, KW, etc?

I've got leaks coming from both front dampers and I'm not even going to bother trying to fight with Audi to get them replaced under goodwill....

Get it booked into Unit20 Factory Pilot, there are not many aftermarket system that give the balance, handling and suppleness of DRC. As for OP, H&R lowerting springs are a good option unless you find someone who wants to swap their SS+ with your standard set up. It's been done before.

KW V3'S or KW do a lowering kit that works like a coilover but lets you keep you drc.

Get in contact with Grizz at Unit 20,he will sort you out.

How long have you had the vehicle? if it's less than 6 months and you bought it from a dealer, then go back to them.

If it's only your fronts that are knacked then the shocks themselves are only £185-ish plus vat. As long as your valves are ok then it shouldn't be crazy expensive. I'd guess 6 to 8 hours labour to replace them and regas??

Ohlins are by far the best coilovers you can by for the RS4, with incredible damping whilst allowing the fitment of stiffer spring rates without sacrificing ride quality. Simply unsurpassed!

The Kw lowering kit is fantastic ....Much better than just the h&r springs ..

I've got ohlins on my B5 it is the dogs bollocks but you pay a price for it.

Im running KW V3s (Coilovers only), great for stance and handling, but sacrifice comfort, Ride quality can be adjusted to suit.

I would be very interested to drive a car fitted with the DRC incorporated KWs. These could be worth a shot.

I know the Ohlins are the holy grail of suspension but arnt they delicate and need refurbing ever X amount of mile?

Depends what ones you go for sonny. I've just had mines overhauled but mines are race spec remote reservoir. Maybe need an overhaul every 12-18 months costs around £700

I like the idea of having the KW kit that allows me to keep the DRC for general comfort while giving me the stance that I wish.
