Possible bush replacement

Post by STURS4 » Tue Jan 01, 2013 11:05 pm

Hey,

My rs4 is starting to feel a bit loose handling wise. There's a bit of a knock coming from the front when going over speed bumps, the car feels like its getting pulled left and right on certain surfaces and just generally not as taught as it was when i bought it 6 or so months ago.the car has done 67K so im thinking there maybe a few bushes due for replacement.anyone had any similar issues?

cheers

Also worth checking the steering rack bolt under the secondary ecu.
Same symptoms (knocking, but vague)

Is this a relatively simple job or best left to the experts?

So glad they landed with you before Xmas to get you back on the road.

Possible bush replacement

Hi mike/Roy

They are easy enough to replace the only thing you have to ensure is getting a good alignment after, I used AMD technik in Essex to do the work and they used the hunter alignment system which is amazing, the car feels so tight after the change!! as for the parts I have to thank ROY who ordered the parts for me from Germany which are the lemforder ones OEM without the Audi rings on it, they are quality parts!!! All together including the fittings and the alignment it cost me near enough £500, £220 for the top arms £130 for the lower arms which are Audi ones that I picked up on ebay from parts depot and around the £250 mark for the work carried out by AMD technik and a few other bits done aswell.

Speak to BEN at AMD who will guide you through the in's and outs

Once again thanks ROY much appreciated for your help

How much is it for the new arms? I'd be up for a group buy on these....
