Think I'm done :( [UPDATE: or maybe not]

Pretty much giving up with my RS after approx 8 months of ownership. I can't shake DRC problems and I don't want to spend much more getting it resolved. I really should have done my homework better.
I managed to get RAC warranty to pay for replacement of both front shocks and both valves with used parts (bought from a forum member, cheers btw) and the labour for replacing parts fitted at an indy and getting Bradford Audi to do regas. Was without car for about 5 weeks, but it handles worse than when it went! and has now in the last week or two developed pretty worrying rattles from front suspension. The rear shocks are solid and just bounces all over the place and the front sounds like a bag of spanners! Don't think the indy knew what they were doing (and probably not Bradford Audi either if the rest of the Synter group is anything to go by). I suspect they over-pressurised it and have damaged the 2 new front shocks.
Think I'm going to look to part-ex the thing and cut my losses

That's a shame sounds like you have had some bad luck, I nearly sold mine a few years back because of many DRC failures,I put kw's on mine and have bn pleased with it since fitted, maybe you should think of how much money you will loose trading it in, maybe you would be better ditching the DRC, if they have over pressurised then I would imagine the shocks will be damaged, I had the Same prob with mine and the ride was shocking, like being on a boat totally ruins the car

+1 ...and there might even be an economic argument for doing so pre trade-in/sale.
Fix it.
Drive it for a few months.
If you still want to sell up then fair enough.
But don't give up now!!!

i dont mean any harm
but DRC is a specialist piece of equipment ... and some Audi dealers are not familiar with in ... no indys have access to the tools to repair it except Unit 20
not only that, Unit 20 are experts, specialists and well priced.
yes its miles away, but once its sorted, its sorted ... bit of hassle in the short term, lots of V8 loving in the long term

Tony, you'd be better getting it fixed before selling anyway. Firstly, you have just posted up that it is knackered on an internet forum and people will read about this and not buy or give you a pretty naff price. Unless fo course you are thinking of selling it trade and then they'll give you book value which will be naff all. Put it this way even the price I got for mine private was some 40% more than book and the number of people I had interested that had researched the car on the internet through forums (forum and non-forum members, you will alienate a lot of your potential buyers who will be seriously looking rather than the tyre kickers.
Unit 20 may be miles away (where are you roughly BTW) but as said they will fix it and then you at least have the choice of keeping it knowing it is working like it should or selling it.

Tony - I'd be inclined to take it over to Unit 20 as others suggest on here. It's not that far if you're in the Leeds area and they seem to have the resources/knowledge to get it sorted. I've only had my car for 6 weeks and already can't imagine not having it; it's just the best damn car I've ever had even if one of the dampers has just failed
Stick with it if you can, I think you'll regret it if you don't. Good luck.

Hrm, thanks for the comments everyone. I suppose there's definitely a financial case for getting it fixed based on the value I'd lose part-ex'ing. Think I'm just disillusioned with it atm.
Grizz: what days are you open next week? and what loan cars have you got?
