It's surmised that all the early cars had tango'd lenses as the car was always destined for US release. Later Euro cars had clear len, hence the term Yank Lanterns. It stuck now it's in the rules.

Hmmm... I learn something new everyday. I also misinterpreted "Yanky Lanterns"- I thought you were telling me to yank or pull off the side reflectors. :drink:

Yanky lanterns, fried eggs, ok, now I know.

Just got these back

Will be hopefully fitted tomorrow along with new Tarox discs and pads, HEL braided lines and a fluid flush! Braking should be a tad bit better now as the old discs and pads were properly goosed!!

Where did you have the calipers done and how much did it cost?

I had them done by 'Brake Caliper Specialist' (brake-caliper-painting.com)

They have done a really good job, but it took ages! Think it was about 3 weeks from sending them to getting them back. On the website it says a couple of days but it obviously can take a bit longer. Don't get me wrong, the job they have done is really good and I'm really happy with it!
