Bit shocked I didn't win the concours competition - apparently you don't get extra points for toilet roll on rear seats and the custom "brake dust grey" wheel finish :D

Big thanks to Iain and Sue for making this happen and everyone else for turning up.

The Gods listened to us and gave us a nice day of Sun, so that makes the world of difference to a meet.

Good head of cars, some cars in tip top condition...I think the Daytona Crew was flying the flag in that department haha

On arrival everyone was given a piece of paper where you had to mark everyone's car (optional) on Engine/paintwork/ext trim/wheels/interior. It was a part of the prize giving at the end, like "your fav car". It was good, and gave you the chance to have a proper look/inspection at everyone's cars (inside and out).

CB whats that? :thumb:

Belter of a weekend and great to see familiar faces from last year and meet new faces.
Weather couldn't have worked out better; bucketing down Saturday & Monday but brilliant sunshine on Sunday.
Excellent company and fantastic food.

700 mile round trip @ 26.1 mpg average and looking forward to doing it all again next year!

Phil - That GTR is utterly insane.

Thanks to all who made the effort to support your forums RS4 B7 annual gathering. It was great to meet up with some of the friends I made last year and also to meet a few new faces( hi Andy, Lawrence, Sarah, Jeremy and Timdogg).

Again we were blessed with great weather all day, which, combined with the truly fantastic venue (who again provided not only excellent accommodation but also first class food), all made for a really enjoyable weekend.

Thanks to MRC, Revolution, and Phil T for generously donating prizes for the concours again, your gestures are much appreciated. Also to Mark for his detailing tips and demostration, Pauls car was certainly looking a bit shinier after that.

Also special thanks to Pie for his assistance, to Laura for doing the name tags, and to Su for co-ordinating the concours voting slips and the enlightening Audi quiz on Sunday night!

After some arm twisting and much discussion with the group this weekend I have agreed to co-ordinate next years get-together, but will make it an event open to all RS246 members. Details will be posted within the next few weeks.

Cheers,

IainRS
