<Rant mode on>

I'm sorry but the attitude on most Audi dealers forecourt is seriously poor. The only time my car ever goes near an Audi main dealer is for warranty work.

You need to go to Porsche to see how its done.

They've lost over six figures of business from me in the last six years because of it....S2, A3, RS4...

The funniest day was when they diagnosed a worn propshaft bearing as a failed rear differential on my S2. Bill according to Audi = £5500. Bill according to me = £13.50 with a bit of elbow work to split the propshaft. &*^%^%^!

As it is most of us are driving around in cars which fail to produce 414bhp, with shocks that leak and no-one knows why, which smoke on start-up and burn 1L oil per 2000 miles and no-one knows why...etc etc

F**k 'em.

The RS4 does go round corners quite well though.

Definitely not the original poster :-), but definitely sounds like a possible contender as somebody associated to the dealer/audi.

From my perspective as the original poster, I met with Audi Uk and the dealers franchise director and neither Audi or the dealer were able to quantify why the mileage logs were inaccurate, or why the car had been driven in the described manner, or why the car service had to be completed by another audi dealer. They couldnt explain why the service book hadnt been stamped despite following all of Audi UK's processes. They also decided that the car couldnt have been damaged by the way it was driven after a quick glance of the tracker logs. I got the distinct impression that there had been similar insubstantiated complaints in the past, and the dealership finally had an opportunity to address the issue with the tracker logs. Audi have closed the issue, stating publicly that all issues have been addressed.

In relation to the above SpecRs post, I had an entirely positive experience dropping off the car - the same guy (Phil) was also quite helpful once the issues had been raised to the dealer principal.
Everyone is unique, just like you and me.
