Your maths ability is truly dizzying, Killer.

Going slightly off topic now but are you the very same guy that thought a 174MPH de-restricted RS6 was too slow for your fleet of cars?

I guess the moral of the story is parking across 2 spaces is not as safe as it first appears as someone will either use it for turning space of try to squeeze a car in anyway !

I can understand the temptation especially in a busy carpark - I usually find a corner myself and hope the herding instinct isn't too strong when I park

guy takes up 2 parking spaces
car is damaged
all downhill after that
others chime in (2 spaces=tool, his own fault, etc.)

I posted the M3 picutre up on the M3 forum I go on and...

about 12 people all replied saying thats how they always park

http://forums.m3cutters.co.uk/showthread.php?t=42374

Selfish bastards  I'm going to buy a £250 banger and squeeze into the remaining parts of the space against there cars then proclaim I was there first I'm in the space there over the middle of the line, who is going to believe who if no-one witnesses it or cameras spot it. They'll believe me in my £250 banger inside the space not the car thats in the middle.

That'll leave someone with a £20k car not only damaged but a insurance claim against them because thats how our country works its corrupt but in the eyes of someone reading 2 peoples views and looking at photo's I would win every time.

I think as they say if it is in the far corner of the carpark with plenty of spaces it doesn't really bother me & can see why they do it, but if carpark is approaching full it is very selfish & probably inviting more damage than risking parking sensibly, if not parking then wanton vandalism.

I must admit the RS4 I saw parked at a hotel across two spaces looked a bit odd & if were me would have just taken a corner, especially as there were a lot of other high end cars there, including a vintage Rolls all parked conventionally.

+1

IMHO...(!)

The OP's original photos are taken down now, but my take on looking at them was that someone had gone very much out of their way to drive their car up close and scrape the entire length of the rub strip, quite deep, and perhaps also damaging the metal work of the doors too. It would take effort to do it so consistently down the length of the car. I didn't notice what state the arches were in. The damage might have been done by someone driving past it and holding their door open, the edge of the door being pushed hard all along the OP's car?

I don't think it was the car that got the unwanted attention on this day. It was the manner in which it was parked. Bam Bam got it right from page one.
