Great news, wonder why there was such a big issue from day one!

not really sure.. perhaps Audi Ireland feel the DRC system is seriously put to its task on our back roads and towns and they would be too exposed if they allow a blanket cover in Ireland?..

Notice any sound/performance difference after you fitted the K&N ?

Sounds good for the Milly Edge! will you have it fitted for Sunday?
Is the filter more performant than the OEM?

here's a pic of my 2 old disks hanging on my garage wall  never thought they were that heavy!

82,000 kms and 2 sets of pads. The new disks still make a kind of a sound when I brake, I have done about 1,000 kms since, is that normal?

I must say with the new sparks plugs and full service, my average consuption for Carlow - Dublin - a bit of City dirving - and back to Carlow is 11.9l/100kms, really not bad.
Before the change, my average for such a trip was 13.8l/100kms. a BIG difference :D (That's doing 130 km/h on the motorway)

I got 20k (miles) out of my first set of front discs and now at 40k (miles) I am not sure how they are looking but will comapare on Sunday. Anyway, I wouldn't be the first to use discs faster than pads, bizarre as that is.

Would guess your mpg (apols am still imperial) is better due to plug change. Does the throttle feel a bit sharper/car has a bit more oomph than before ?

I definitely noticed this any thime I have had my plugs changed.

Yes, definitely the throttle response is sharper and an all round sense that the engine is happier,
for the sake of 80 yoyos, I will change them more often

Was also thinking going back to Pzeros for my next tyre change, it will be like day 1 all over again :)

What tyres are you on now ?

I am on Vreds and had 2 sets of Eagle F1's before those and the god awful Contis the car came from the factory with (a truly hateful tyre). I am minded to give the Michelin Pilot Super Sports a go next.

Gosh, this is my second set of Conti3..
I had Bridgestone R050 before them (didn't like them that much, they're still on my 18' rims, nearly new) and the P Zeros when the car was new (18' as well)

did you get the vreds in Ireland?

K&N does sound better, nice worbble out of her. It allows 'High Air Flow' and thus gives some extra BHP, but no real idea. Cant say I find much of a difference in power for the change.

Its such a quick mod and fairly cheap. I have a 10% discount at halfords, so it was €51 to purchase. Took about 25min to change it, just had an issue with one clip! For the added sound of it, a good buy ;)

Rang about my Milly, was due in last Friday.... should be sorted this week.... fingers crossed!

@Awd4 - I got the Vred's from Modern Tyre in Newry (carnbane ind estate - so didn't even have to go into Newry). They where shedloads cheaper for F1's also and excellent service compared to some of the Jokers in Dublin.

@Edge - I recently got a replacement ITG filter sent over from MRC after I managed to damage the previous one. Car was flying after I had it fitted. You are sounding like a kid at xmas waiting for the Milly to arrive ;). Dont worry - will be worth the wait.
