That's why they didn't emphasise the 'returns' at the rear edges - I think. They could have been more aggressive but this would have led to ground clearance issues. The drop is barely 10 mm ir do but I'm sure Argon will post the spec.

Looks great, I've been looking for a Carbon Splitter some time, been looking at the DTM and Seat Leon Splitter but this look much better.
I'm up for one and ready to pay a deposit.

Agree with MikeFish, the angular parts by the fog lights look a bit poor

Don't want to rock then boat too much, especially with all the effort Caldy is putting into the project. I just think the shape of the splitter on the corner looks a little odd, and would look better IMHO if it followed the radius/curvature of the bumper like the DTM splitter.

looks like the real deal protrudes out, and does not follow the curvature of the bumper

Surely then you would simply buy a DTM splitter. This project affords us the opportunity to have an input to the design of something different. Argon have seen our comments and pictures, then produced something which incorporates touches of everything - a flare for the oil cooler, an aggressive angle at the front corners and a deepening of the profile at the ends. Please be positive or this won't go to tooling any time soon.

I don't think there is anything wrong with the shape, I think it will be ok when it is black or cf especially on a black car, at the moment it is accentuated by the difference in colour

Good question - dunno the answer but I'll ask. I'll also ask if they can paint the form black and retake some photos.

Hi Caldy
Not been on the forum for a few days but is it too late to be added to the first batch list?

Not a problem - please join in the discussion. Nothing formal has been agreed but we will need a commitment for 10 units for Argon to absorb their tooling costs.

Hi Caldy,
First of all i'd like to thank you for taking the time and doing without your car so this splitter/spoiler could be designed for the benefit of all of us wanting one :beerchug:
Secondly i also think seeing one painted black will make it look so much better when fitted to your car and give us all a much better idea of what the finished product will look like.
Would be good to know what they will charge for a black one and a carbon one ?
Thanks again

Although I'm not buying one (because I've got the DTM one) I hope you don't mind me adding my tuppence worth.
For me one of the most important things was to not change the look of the car too much, to be as discrete as possible. The 'standard' DTM carbon one is very subtle and would be absolutely perfect if only it was a little wider and took in the full width of the bumper, and that's the look I would be aiming for with this, nothing too fancy or elaborate. The mock up shown is not attractive and looks obviously like an 'add-on' which is not a look I would want. All IMHO! :)
Current;

BMW 2002 restomod; Turbo body kit, S14 M3 Evo engine and lots more
Audi Q3 Black edition Quattro

Previously enjoyed;
Ibis White B7 RS4 Avant : TTS Supercharged 615ps/614 nm
Subaru Impreza 22B
Noble M400
TVR 400SE
Lotus Sunbeam Avon

I am not going to take styling advise from a man that drives an estate :jump: :bigblink: I am see what you mean but I think when it's black or carbon it will blend more. We will have to see.
