Sorry ive not been on much, just so busy with work and setting my new car club up and and buying a mk2 oak green 16v :bigblink:

I took the RS to its 2nd show and fortunately got best audi again :D

The weather was shocking and took the 20 x 10 speedlines this time

I also tried these aswell the other day but will need slightly skinnier tyres to get it low  I would also change the finish when i get a set.
The pictures dont do them justice but when its low the concave looks amazing

As always looking good Jules!

I woudl swap my wheels in a heartbeat for those ones in the bottom pic, never seen them on a Sprint car before and they look great. Are they as simple as bolting straight on?

What would you change the finish to Jules, hi-power silver? Never thought the titanium rotors suited Sprint Blue unless it had the titanium pack including mirrors and optics but a silver colour may well compliment the metal trim. Certainly a lot easier to clean that the 7 spokes!

They are almost a straight swap, just spigot ring and say a 3mm spacer front and back, you could go a little more but i wouldnt due to needing it to tuck
in the arches when i air out.
Then actually went on with no spacer but it was like 1mm away from front caliper and i didnt know if heat etc would effect the 1mm

PG as you said on my sprint i would prob go high silver and maybe mirror polish the diamond cut section,or do something much more extreme :bigblink:y

Sorry ive not been on,ive been away, works mad busy and ive got the misses a very rare 1,8t mk4 estate golf, and been all over the show collecting parts
for the new project for the misses.
So the RS has taken a back seat, but i have 3 little mods i want to do before taking it over to show in Holland.

I went to a meet last night in Leicester and a dude took a few pics,i dont think ive shown the mats before,i got some
gen audi ones had the logo's fitted and the adges trimmed in the same leather as the seats 8)

You have an eye for detail Jules!

I've managed to find a supplier in Germany that can match Valcona Black Metallic leather (they say it’s no longer available from Audi, but going to check) so I'm going to go ahead and get all the worn leather around the side bolsters etc repaired (an some other details thrown in) so thought whist I'm at it I will get the seat backs done in alcantara and carbon. I had some samples sent over and thinking the dark grey alcantara suits best and pretty sure the best match for the OEM carbon inlays is 650g/m2 twill, is this what you've used Jules?

Do you know how easy the seat backs and harness hole trims are to remove as I may end up doing some of it myself? The actual leather cover looks quite easy to remove as it's just hooked over the seat backs from what I can see...

Sorry I'm not sure what carbon was used but I can ask my friend,I know he tried a few options to get it damn close.

I was pretty shocked how much work was involved in stripping the seats apart as I was there when put back together.
I like to try most things but I wouldn't tackle that, but it oesnt mean you can't.

As for the leather I guess it's pretty easy to match,I know MJ can and I'm sure Luke aswell, sometimes
People like to make it sound more of an issue than it is.

The harness holes are not to bad to remove, they re just screwed from behind the leather,I look forward to seeing what you do.

Thanks Jules I'll update my thread when & if I have something to show. If you could ask your mate about the carbon I would appreciate it, you can actually work it out by measuring the number of thread ends per cm and 650 is pretty much spot-on.
