I never, ever, want anything JHM near me or my cars.
The risk of becoming THAT annoying or exciting over something that hasn't been announced by the company itself is the equivalent of losing sleep over the 2020 RS4 which might be a 1.5 V16 quad-turbo that runs on pollution and has a 1.3 0-120 time because it hovers over the road. And when parked it helps old ladies cross the road.
Ring time is said to be sub-2min.

Please, let's all just back away, there's nothing to see here.
Black 4.2 RS4 Avant, Titan wheels.
Going for K&N, flat bottom steering, LED rear lights, Dectane headlights, Milltek or Tubi exhaust.
May Sachs Performance rot in hell.

Previously:
Audi A3 1.8T, Audi A4 1.8T, Audi S3, VW Passat 1.8T, VW Tiguan 1.8T (anyone see a pattern?)

that's one guy. His name is Jonathan Ng. His name is all over his blog.

He has an interesting reputation...he was banned from Audizine and Euroaddiction for stealing (selling things on classified ads and then not delivering them, or delivering a box full of broken junk). Happened 3 times, and both sites gunned him. He was also accused on quattroworld of stealing from a local Audi club. Stealing cash and prizes. Pretty fun stuff.

He also works for VF Engineering. He was sponsored (yes he admitted this publicly) and the deal was similar to Spinner's deal with PES - get a supercharger kit at half price in exchange for promoting the kit on the forums. He actually does what PetrolDave accused me of, funny enough. Thing is when someone promotes shitty parts that don't make your car better and often make it worse, you should be suspicious. When happy customers share info on JHM parts which have been shown to be the most succesful tuning company in the 4.2 space (and there are hundreds of these threads) it's far simpler to find the motive.

Back to ngng, his VF supercharger belt kept popping off so he asked JHM to have a look at it. When they drove his car, they noticed his clutch engagement point was too close to the floor (JHM clutch/flywheel had been installed at his shop in Washington). They told him it likely had been improperly installed and that they shoudl fix it the next day. He needed his car for a track day, so he instead picked it up and ignored their recommendation.

Sure enough, at the track day his JHM clutch 'failed'...but it turned out that his tuning company in Washington had botched the install. They tried to re-use the stock bolts etc. even though the JHM kit includes longer bolts for their slightly different to OEM design. JHM walked him through it taking his car apart in front of him. This all played out on the forums. Instructions and specially sized JHM hardware is included with every clutch.flywheel. He claimed they were never sent after JHM showed him that the OEM hardware was re-used. The best part? ngng himself had a photo of his condo on his website, and you can see the JHM hardware sitting on his desk. JHM still reinstalled his clutch with proper hardware. After thrashing it at track days it failed again, sparking another anti-JHM thread. Pretty funny...because the <beep> posted THIS on his youtube...video evidence of him launching his S4 at 6500 RPM (vs. a 7000 RPM redline), which is universally known to be the fastest way to torch your clutch. By the way that's an RS4 body kit conversion.

I did NOT accuse you, I merely ASKED whether you had any connection with JHM.

Please do NOT stoop to lying, it weakens your credibiity even further.

To all of us from a fact based engineering background (I have been a Professional Engineer for over 30 years, including over 10 years working for a major automotive manufacturer - not VAG) your posts smack of blatant Marketing and hype. I think it's time you realised that your over enthusiastic approach is actually doing damage to JHM on this side of the pond (and myabe on your side of the pond too), and is alienating RS4 owners who are long-term members here (and hence potential customers).

IMHO the best thing you can do is stop posting about JHM - you're happy, I (and I suspect most here) are happy for you, and that's how it should be left.

Care to elaborate?

I can easily point to a MiG 31 Foxhound and say it defines the design ethos of all cold war Soviet attack aircraft...
How is it that this thread of 74 posts just so happens to encompass everything bad in the truly UNTHINKABLE amounts of forum threads contained on the WHOLE internetz? Next you'll start hypothesising when this thread will apply to Godwin's law.

You are so deep.
