The motors are for the "adaptive" headlights that move with the steering wheel you wouldn't need these to retrofit auto-lights just the light sensor in the mirror + new switch & some wiring.

On the error is surprising as there are bulbs in-line I have successfully defeated my warning with a resistor - I posted a how to if anyone wants a go. My car is fitted with auto-lights and gets the odd error on the DRL bulb (both resistors and Trups' box of tricks although prefer the electronic solution as no heat and less errors). The error is only on first start and clears itself immediately.

I was referring to Mike's previous comment of how much the tech pack was :biggrin3:

I have Trup's DRL solution too - I like the idea of your 'electronic/no heat' solution MB2 though

Yes, we were just trying to justify why the tech pack cost £325 from factory. A few sensors and a few motors.

On the other hand, why would you spend £55k on a new RS and decide to skimp on £325 :)

Original owner of mine did

Yeah, why would you skimp. Have a friend took delivery of a newly spec'd S3 - not tech pack, no sat nav and a whole bunch of stuff missing...

On the other hand if you keep ticking all the options an S3 goes from the low £30k's to over 40k (like my wife did).
