Was looking to get my discs skimmed and put new pads on as I'm getting a decent amount of shudder under medium - heavy braking. Haven't owned the car long (2 months or so) and am not sure when the discs were last changed, that being said I'd be interested in a set of discs ready for when I do decide to change them if a group buy can be arranged with a moderate saving!

These do need investigated. Maybe we need a new thread on them to see if anyone has experience.

This is my first post so apologies if this has been covered before. I've been looking at various brake options for ages now and came across Reyland Motorsport the other day. Has anyone used these? There make 2 piece discs to spec and they look fantastic, and are also half the price. Almost seems too good to be true?!

I think you'll find the Reyland discs are an ordinary plain disc with grooves. The internal vents are radial so are not angled for improved cooling. You do get what you pay for here.

I have spoken with Reyland Motorsport and have sent an e mail for a quote to make front and rear discs with flexi hoses and pads.

I had a custom setup made a few years ago from them and the discs were AP Racing.

I'll keep those interested updated in here.

If a go. Would anyone happen to have an old front and rear disc laying around that we could let them have to use as a template?

Guys I have to say if you are expecting a premium product beware....I have had mine AP Racing discs fitted for around 10 weeks in that time its covered around 4K in 85% motorway miles. I ran them in slowly and avoided heavy breaking and made sure I clocked a good 1000 miles before braking hard.

But unfortunatly when breaking from high speed not to hard but firm the wobble is starting to return, which in my opinion is not great I have yet to take it up with the supplier as I was expecting better than OEM but have to say about the same at best. Now I do like a spirited drive but I'm not talking any track use and the wobble is there and it shouldn't be.

I've had cars without cross drilled discs and large caliper systems which have taken a larger pounding and been warp and brake fade free.......

Not happy at £1200 including fitting with new EBC pads. :(

You fitted the new pads at the same time as the new discs? Ideally you bed in discs with pads which are already bedded in. Because the bedding in methods of new discs and pads are pretty much opposite of each other. New pads need a few hard stops and serious heating whereas new discs need to be driven rather carefully.

Get them skimmed and try again. There is no steel brake disc in the world no matter how expensive that will not create shudder if things go a bit wrong with the pad deposits.

As above, it is most likely pad deposits rather than a warped disc from not braking heavily enough. You can't relly say it is not a quality product if that is the case.

What's everyone's thoughts on Hi Spec brakes? Another potential option?
