Normally I wouldn't wish harm to others, but under the circumstances, a serious accident involving a tree is overdue, just hope all the seats are full

PS, Mr policeman, if you're reading this please be aware these are just ramblings of a mentally unwell individual and not to be taken seriously

Would the platic key actuallyu start the car though ? - i thought the imobiliser was built into the key which was paired to the car.

To clarify any points:
No, i did not have someone break into my house to steal my car, just so i could do an insurance job.
Yes, the plastic key starts an audi. I had one key whilst my partner had the second key on our possesion.
Yes, the police are <beep> hopeless!!! They follow this car all day but yet cant stop it.
I myself think Facebook is <beep>...but it did a very good job
Im glad i didnt get car back, as what am i supposed to do with a car thats been ragged about Aberdeen all day? It costs me money because i have to stump up cash to pay for repairs plus i have a stolen/recovered car.
All car owners in aberdeenshire beware of these fuckwits!!!

Latest news is that after promising another spate of thefts tonight, some local guys spotted a scummy mink in their gardens scoping out cars and grabbed him. They laid into him in turns until the police showed up and dragged the little skid mark away to the cells. Though he hadn't actually broken any laws at the time, hopefully he'll have learned his lesson that people aren't just going to lie down and let these pathetic minks make off with their pride and joy.

Good, it's about time we started to stand up to these scumbags as the police aren't doing anything about it. Hope he got a hiding he'll remember for a while. I can see the headlines now; 'people of Aberdeen reclaim the streets'.

More like ' Aberdeen residents jailed for beating up joyriders'
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised at this, the way the police work nowadays.

+1, if it is true the only thing he was doing was trespassing.

No trespass laws in Scotlland IIRC, think we have 'right to roam'?

If the stories circulating on FB are anything to go by, the guy that was caught and allegedly dealt vigilante justice is an opportunistic junkie loser in his mid 30's.
He's been thieving pretty much all his life, lives locally to where he was caught and will have had nothing to do with the recent joyriding and key stealing in the Aberdeen area.

He was a few years older than me at primary school and went down the waster route as soon as he was in secondary school.
Everyone on FB is getting all excited but unfortunately he's not one of the car thieves everyone was hoping would be caught by a mob of angry owners.

Yeah, the guy that was caught and beaten up looks like it was some local junkie thief and nothing to do with the joyriders. Still, good to know residents are fighting back. Also, I heard there was another few cars taken last night and around 1am a car was followed around Tillydrone before ramming a Police car and hitting a lamp-post. The car was 4-up but they all got away (not sure if they drove off or just scarpered).

Guys at work said its ok its insured but that's not the point you do become attached to a car especially the B7 and even if its replaced things won't be the same.
