It costs me $10,000 per year to buy the drop bear insurance!! - so far I have been lucky enough not to have made a claim!

The compulsory 3rd party in Oz only covers injury/death to other people, but doesnt cover 3rd party property damage.
Vehicle registration/tax is around $500 per year, of which around $150 is the 3rd party insurance.
You can voluntarily buy 3rd party property damage and thats around $150 per year
