I fitted the PIAA ones in 2007 and am on the second set now (you can only buy them in pairs so I swapped both) after one blew in 2012. On that basis I should be good until 2017...

Here ya go fella!

Not the best pic but they are fine in terms of brightness, the CREE LED white ones I had on before looked better but if the f**kers keep blowing every couple of weeks they're no good at all.

I have had my Cree DRLs for a few weeks now with no issues so far.

Hi.

You able to wait a week and il have an ETA. Just testing the new drivers etc. The new bulb will be made from a cnc'd base and will replicate the OEM holder so no need to mess with the old type cancellers and be a few choices of brightnesses etc.

If you have any quieries for interior or exterior LED's then get in touch.

Tested today in an 8p as have the same issue with drl's as the B7 but that can be coded and no canceller needed but not everyone has vcds.

I had 2 sets of circuits and one worked :) so that set has been posted to a member on the forum today to test in his rs4, if all is well then il be doing the final specs/design and get these produced.

Can confirm that the circuitry works on the rs4, tested by member Daytona for me.

Will have a full fitting and working proto type for the end of the month I hope and then once pictures etc have been done il take photos.

Keen to see this. I have finally have a system with no bulb faults and with no resistors or mods. The only bit I have that would be nice to lose are the DRL cancellors so I am keen to find a solution where I don't need these.

You loose the canceller box on the new system Mike. As there will be a small one with the driver but all encased in a cnc'd box which is half the size of the previous solution.
