RS4 Saloon or Avant with 2 Young Kids?

I put the RS in the garage every night which I could never do with the Avant.

You do realise that the Avant is exactly the same length and width as the saloon (4586mm & 1816mm - 1933mm inc. mirrors) and only 26mm taller (1441mm vs. 1415mm)?

With the avant you don't have the boot lid to negotiate through. At least you get more height with the avant when packing the pram, scooters/balance bikes etc. I took a huge toolchest home in the avant. Love it.

I've taken a full-size 600mm dishwasher (in it's packaging) home in my Avant, the extra size of the tailgate vs. the boot lid comes in useful at times.

Was dropping off wifey's Golf GTi wheels to the refurbisher last weekend. I got all 4 18" wheels with tyres in the boot without folding the seats down!
