Cheers Neil - It's dropped a bit from when it was fresh from those mods. I had a service and health check at MRC two weeks ago and it had dropped down to 431ps/452nm - Ben said it'll need another carbon clean as the last one was just under 2 years ago... Still I have no complaints as it still goes well enough for me ;-)

Have fun and enjoy the car

Ownership is perpetual especially the carbon clean issue. Indeed, even after 2 years that's more than respectable figures

Enjoy! :biggrin3:

Interesting to read your results and impressions, sounds like your very pleased with the results. Do you notice a difference over the entire rev range or just up top? Was your carbon build up very bad? Im thinking i may go for stage 2 and carbon clean but my car has only done 34k miles so not sure how bad it will be to need cleaning.

Stevec33 - very pleased indeed. Honestly, the response is there all the way through the range. Sport and non Sport difference is very noticebale. At 4K ish the serious torque kicks in and at 5K it's pulling like train. The Torque is very different to before, naturally.

The clean helped and the stage 2 has made the responsiveness day and night compared to before. I was doing about 80 in 6th pulling what, just over 4K, and the slightest nudge of the throttle and it just wants to go. In 3rd and 4th at 4K+ I can only relate it to a 'turbo-kind-of-kick' with sport engaged...

I spent only 2 hours in the car since getting in but it's defiantly how it should be - well worth the trip and spend...

Carbon was not the worst MRC has seen but equally not the best. At 30K+ miles and a clean and you will see a difference for sure...

I guess the removal of the throttle limiter helps out in the low gears a fair bit, i certainly think mine is lacking a bit of tourque in the midrange so good to know torque is improved also. looks a fair bit of build up on yours for only 40k miles, i always thought it was only necessary on much higher mileage cars. Did you have the full clean or the cheaper one? How much did it cost all in if you dont mind me asking? Dam im goong to have to get this done now arent i!

Yes, delimit helps a fair bit too. Torque mid range is very evident as an improvement. Honestly, the torque through the range was the big difference. Response and torque. Doug tried Tesco99 and squeezed a bit more NM. Honestly, the difference is very noticeable. I did have the inlet flaps left out also - MRC usually do this. I can see why MRCs map is so popular.

Cost - exactly as per MRC price menu. I had supplied brake lines changed and a quick oil change but that's aside probably from what you'd pay. I'd see the clean as routine maintenance now and yes, it was the full clean. Bugger.

Steve, you'll see a difference and if funds allow, you won't be disappointed...

Sounds fantastic. Just the way the RS should sound!

Do you have any in-car videos?
Is it at all boomy?

Cheers! It's ace! No in car video just yet - in the body Shop for some TLC.

No at all boomy. Yes, it's more than OEM sport mode, but valves closed and it's slightly louder than OEM - only marginal. Besides, you don't fit these systems to listen to Radio 4 in peace!

The sound is just how a V8 should sound....
