I've been in touch with 10 suppliers and 5 have got back to me so far. Best price for both discs and bells is £730 including VAT and delivery. I've not asked them about a group buy or discount yet so if there are a few orders I think the price could come down.

Anyone else interested? As said before, once you've got the bells the discs are cheaper than OEM.

alcon do replacement disks also but you have buy a min of three sets perfect for a gb I enquired recently

As discussed the discs are a minimum order quantity of 3 pairs. Prices are £325.40 + del + vat for plain finish and £360.54 + del + vat for s grooved. They weigh approximately 8 kg each and are

I assume that's per disc? Works out much closer to £1,000 that i'd want for an OEM fitment disc.. Just don't see the benefit..

Andy; That's about what price i've been getting.. Keep me in the loop as i am interested..

Be aware I went for the AP racing discs and EBC yellow stuff pads as I didn't want OEM and hoped they wouldn't warp like OEM.....bit disappointed I've yet to take it up with the supplier but my feel like they are slightly warped now....drove with care for 800-1000 miles, and then driven as normal with some spirited driving but no track sessions or really heavy breaking from high speed and wobble is started to return, if you hit the brakes a second time in sucession its not as bad, they have done around 3K now but not happy.

Thinking of changing the pads as I think Ferodo would have been better.

Could it be pad deposits? Are AP discs drilled? If so are the holes clogged with dust?

I don't think AP racing discs are any "tougher" than OEM. From memory when I was tracking my 850 with an AP BBK their discs are pretty soft actually, not cryo treated or anything exotic. If you're having warping or (more likely) pad deposit issues with OEM discs odds are you'll have them with non-OEM discs as well.

It's a pretty difficult science to get to the bottom of but it must be related to driving habits, pad material, maybe even individual brake calipers.

FWIW my OEM discs are close to minimum thickness now and there is zero brake shudder. On my RS6 I only started to get a "warped" feeling when they were far below minimum spec'd thickness so I don't think there is a flaw with the OEM discs at all.

Hi all,

This is my first post so apologies if this has been covered before. I've been looking at various brake options for ages now and came across Reyland Motorsport the other day. Has anyone used these? There make 2 piece discs to spec and they look fantastic, and are also half the price. Almost seems too good to be true?!

Did anybody ever give AP a rear disc to measure, didn't see a floating rear on the website

Does anybody else do a floating rear disc?

I think jhm in the states do a floating rear who are cheaper but I think shipping costs would soon swallow up the savings.
