I like it, looks like an improvement on standard; no more mismatched split line or exposed screw holes on the back!

Just got to clean it that's all.
Once it's pilled and shiny, cleaning will just strip the top layer off and it will look cr*p.
Nope, used a steam cleaner and alcantara cleaner. The guy who purchased it off me could not believe how good it was.
Have you had one? I have and I cleaned it.

I’m having the whole steering wheel re-covered in contrasting leather, can’t wait to see how it'll looks and feel.
A photo when it's done would be great.
Just a quick photo from the trimmer, will be picking the interior up tomorrow.
Like the steering wheel. Had mine done the other month with silver stitching, think it really freshens them up.

You're the only person that's posted on here in the last 6+ years that's had an alcantara steering wheel and been able to "rescue" it.

I don't mind being wrong, but when someone says something different to what many others have said, it needs checking that they're being honest and not just blagging.

Nothing I have posted in this thread is bullsh1t.

Calm down dear, it's only an internet forum.

Some of the ex-members on here became well known for their ability to bullsh1t (I'm thinking of RussianM3Dude et al), so surely there's no harm in me making sure?

Remembering the spec of everyone's car would be impressive - if I could do it :bigblink:

As I said, AFAIK he's the first B7 owner who has posted here that he has successfully restored/cleaned an alcantara steering wheel - so you have to forgive me a note of cynicism.

One ex-member claimed to have done all sorts of mods and had all sorts of problems with his RS4 - except he never actually owned one :bash: (long term members will know who I'm referring to...).
