LOL cheers Shane, honestly I was so furious that I even thought about that!

Still wouldn't bring my premium down but would make me smile

Mate!! Nooooooooooooo. Burger and chips on me next time at Ace Cafe if you can make it regardless of whether you are in the RS.

As I said, this could be any of us. The story Dave recalls is a bit of a shocker too.

i feel your pain mate

im going to have to declare another 3pts once theyve been process (stretching it out as long as possible)

iv just been on go compare ... chucked in my details as per now, and quote is what im paying (c.£1,750)

declare a further 3pts, and a) admiral no longer appear on the list and b) cheapest quote is £2,300

so, not looking forward to making that call when i have to

just hope i can shift the bloody car before hand

You thinking of dropping down to just the company car for a while Dave before going for a C6 sometime in 2012?

Picked up my first ever three points this time a year ago, and whilst they (along with the Milltek) limit my choice of insurer, people like Sky don't charge for either. However I am under strict instuction not to get any more.....

What really bugs me about points (apart from actually getting them of course) is that they count for 3 years, yet they have to stay on your licence for 4 years and most insurers require you to tell them about them for 5 years.

Isn't that against various Rehabilitation of Offenders Acts? Once you've "paid the price" and the points don't count you shouldn't be penalised further...

Plus of course if you got the points 4 years 364 days ago from the date of your renewal, you are effectly paying the 'risk' in your premium for them for six years!

A trick is to stretch it out as long as poss

I.E always send the letter back special delivery on the latest possible date

As they will expire on date of offence, not conviction
